Click the map below to see donations tally. Total Contributions HELP BRIAN DOUBLE HIS CAMPAIGN DONATIONS BY QUALIFYING FOR MATCHING GOVERNMENT FUNDS. Brian needs to raise a minimum of $5,000 from 20 states to qualify for federal matching funds in Election 2008. In order to qualify for these matching government funds the minimum requirement is for our campaign to raise $5K from at least 20 states. An additional dollar will be given by the federal government for each dollar raised, anywhere in the country, not just in the 20 states... (i.e. $100K raised plus $100K federal matching funds; $125K raised plus $125K federal matching funds; or possibly $150K raised will gain another $150K in federal matching funds, thereby totaling $300,000 for the campaign!). Start your state's efforts to meet its goal! Even if your state does not achieve the $5,000 level, if we do in other states, then your donations will still be doubled because of our qualification status. Please click on the "Donate button in the menu above to access Brian's "Donate" page to pay with a credit card, or mail your check to the address listed on our "donate" page. Thank you!

"URGENT APPEAL FOR VOLUNTEERS/DONATIONS TO GAIN BALLOT ACCESS IN NEW MEXICO & HAWAII"Dear Socialist Party members, other political colleagues and friends: The state of New Mexico and the state of Hawaii's deadlines for ballot access for presidential candidates is Tuesday, April 1 and Thursday, April 3 respectively (2008). The Socialist Party would like to try and qualify for both of these ballots. These are two of the earliest deadlines for political party registrations in the nation. To run as an independent candidate would be even worse with regard to the number of signatures required. Thus, there are only 19 days (for New Mexico) from Friday, March 14th until the deadline of 5 PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 and 21 days (for Hawaii), with a deadline of Thursday, April 3. 2,794 signatures on petitions is required to be collected in New Mexico and 663 names are required for Hawaii. For New Mexico, approximately 3,400 signatures will have to be collected if one takes into consideration a 20% error rate on the minimum required of 2,794 signatures. So we are assuming that almost 200 signatures a day have to be collected until April 1st. Hawaii would require approximately 750 or 800 just to be safe. We have a variety of options to consider in order to determine if we can achieve these difficult goals:
I am appealing to each of you, to consider assisting us in any of these options. If you have other ideas, please notify us. My phone number is 352-686-9936, and my cell is 352-585-2907. SP member Caleb Harnder of Denver, Colorado, said he can help us in New Mexico and said he is willing to coordinate the effort there. Caleb's phone number is 720-224-3578. Please call him if you can help out. Thank you. We have already qualified on the ballot in Vermont under the Liberty Union label, and New Jersey is reporting that they have completed collecting their 800 plus signature requirements in order to qualify there. Plus, we expect to target the smaller signature requirements and/or fees from the states of Rhode Island, Louisiana, Tennessee, Colorado, Hawaii, Iowa, Mississippi, Minnesota and Arkansas. We are also trying to win nominations in California, and possibly another state or two. And last but not least, if you cannot volunteer your time, but can afford a small donation to assist us in our above efforts, $25 or $50, if not for these two states, but others as well, it would be most appreciated. We can assure you, the majority of our contributions will be used for ballot access. Please send your donations through our "donate" page on the website: www.votebrianmoore.com, or mail a check, made out to Brian Moore for President Committee, P.0. Box 5742, Spring Hill, Florida, 34611. Thank you. Your generosity is most appreciated. If you know of any individuals who can afford more, please approach them, and urge them to be generous for our cause of peace, justice, re-distribution of wealth and a more egalitarian society. Gracias'! In Peace, Brian |
